Inhambane City Tour
- Experience the historical Inhambane City with an
English speaking guide in Barra Lodge's own mini bus.
Vasco da Gama anchored his four ships off Inhambane Bay in 1498.
With landfall approaching a settlement in inclement weather the
locals told them in Bitonga dialect to come in out of the rain: "Bela
khu Nyumbani" and so Inhambane got its present name. Cathedrals, old
colonial Portuguese architecture, markets and restaurants will make
it a fascinating town to visit. There is also a small supermarket
Carsanda's Supermercado and Padaria Universal Bakery. Times: -
